Now you can find load shedding schedule on ‘Roshan Pakistan’ website: minister

ISLAMABAD: Minster of Energy Syed Ali Zafar on Friday announced that a website (https://www.roshanpakistan.pk), Roshan Pakistan, had been set up where people could find load management schedule in their respective areas along other information.

This he announced in a meeting held on June 14, 2018, by the Ministry of Energy (Power Division) to review supply and delivery of electricity.

Syed Ali Zafar said that information on exact load shedding hours must be shared along with details of when and how long load shedding was taking place.

He said, “The ‘Roshan Pakistan’ web and mobile application is a step forward towards making electricity consumers able to access billing details and Information regarding load shedding schedule and more at their finger tips.”

A statement the by the Energy Ministry reads, “By using this site any one can check the status of feeder load management with exact timing and also access to complaint management system, load management report, daily power position and theft reporting. The max column includes outages due to shutdowns and faults.”

The minster reiterated that the transmission system of electricity was flawed and even generated electricity was not fully reaching to the end consumers. The transmission and distribution system capabilities enhancement had not taken place for long, he said.

He pointed out that distribution companies (DISCOs) had consistently not been able to fully utilize supplied energy and electricity had been unavailable in areas.
