People fleeing from N Waziristan amid fear of military action
MIRANSHAH: Scores of families fleeing from militants infested North Waziristan tribal region amid fear of a military action, ARY News reported on Monday.
After death of nine security men in a bomb attack in tehsil Ghulam Khan of North Waziristan tribal region on Thursday security forces responded with attacks with gunship helicopters at the hideouts of militants in the area.
Curfew has been clamped in the region for five days and around hundred families have fled to Afghanistan amid fear of a possible military action. Tribesmen protesting against imposition of curfew in the region blocked Bannu-Kohat road for traffic.
