ISLAMABAD: Ameer Jamat-e-Islami (JI), Syed Munawwar Hassan has said that people like Usama Bin Laden do not die; they remain alive in hearts of the people – ARY News reports.
The statement was made while addressing a ceremony held on affairs relating to Afghanistan here on Tuesday.
Munawwar Hassan said that the United States (US) played havoc in Afghanistan for almost 12 years and now it is afraid that if it evacuates Afghanistan then Usama may once again surface there.
Meanwhile, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Awami National Party (ANP) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) reacted strongly at the statement of the JI Ameer.
MQM leader, Wasay Jalil labeled the statement to be extremely sorrowful and condemnable.
PPP member, Shazia Marri criticized Munawwar Hassan saying that Pakistan was thrown into Afghan war only because of people like him.
Moreover, ANP leader Mian Iftikhar Hussain said that today's statement has exposed true face of the JI Ameer.
