Group of people storm private university in Lahore

LAHORE: A group of people armed with weapon and batons on Saturday stormed a private university in Lahore and subjected its staff to torture, ARY News reported.

The surveillance camera footage shows the assailers using pistol and batons. An attacker Nadeem Wattoo posed the pistol on the university staff.

The assaulters included baton-wielding women. The university chairman, his son and other people got injured.

A first information report has been registered at Garden Town police station.

On March 26, an official of Balochistan University had died in a targeted killing incident here on Tuesday morning.

The motorbike riding gunmen had opened fire at the car of Superintendent of Balochistan University’s examinations department, Syed Hussain Shah, this morning when he was on his way from home to the university. He had received three bullet wounds and succumbed to his injuries.

The incident had taken place near Dukani Baba Bridge of Quetta.

A CCTV footage of the crime scene shows the killers fleeing from the area after the incident.

The incident had caused harassment and panic in the area.

The police and officials of other law enforcement agencies had reached to the spot after the incident and cordoned off the area.
