Pervez admits he made PM Nawaz deliver victory speech on May 11

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Information Minister, Pervez Rasheed has returned all the questions raised by the PTI Chairman, Imran Khan, in his speech during PTI rally in Bahawalpur yesterday – ARY News reports.

Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Pervez Rasheed admitted to bore the responsibility of the victory speech delivered by the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif. He told that all the channels had televised news of PMLN’s lead in the polls by 11 pm on elections day.

Rasheed welcomed any punishment or registration of a lawsuit against him, if appealing the nation to pray for someone’s success is an offence.

He further said that the names of caretaker Prime Minister or caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab were not suggested by PMLN, whereas Imran Khan had himself demanded to call returning officers from the Judiciary, for performing duties in elections.

The Information Minister said that the officials who were working with Shahbaz Sharif-led Government of Punjab, were transferred during the time of caretaker setup, but the PMLN did not object on it.

He told that the Chairman PTI, Imran Khan kept obstructing appointments by meeting Najam Sethi and Rao Iftikhar was made the Additional Chief Secretary during the period of caretaker Government, who was also made the Secretary Interior during the Governor Rule in Punjab.

Moreover, Pervez Rasheed said that bringing 10 lac people in the long march will cost 2 billion rupees and suggested Imran Khan to spend this sum for the welfare of the internally displaced persons (IDPs).
