Pervez Khattak acknowledges Turkey’s support for Pakistan, Kashmir issue

RAWALPINDI: Defence Minister Pervez Khattak on Monday met with Turkish Ambassador Ihsan Mustafa Yrudakul and acknowledged Ankara strong support for Pakistan at all international fora and its steadfast support on Kashmir issue.

Pervez Khattak said that Pakistan and Turkey will continue to further consolidate exemplary fraternal relations between the two countries.

Talking to Turkish ambassador, he said this relationship is based on common faith, values, culture, history and mutual trust.

The Minister appreciated the economic development and prosperity of Turkey under the visionary leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The Turkish ambassador also expressed similar thoughts for further strengthening ties between the two countries. Later, the Defence Minister also attended the national day celebrations of Turkey at Turkish Embassy.

It is pertinent to note here that on October 27, Kashmir Black Day, the Youth Assembly of Konya’s Selçuklu Municipility and the Embassy of Pakistan jointly organized a seminar and expressed strong solidarity with the oppressed people of the India-Occupied Kashmir.

They also reaffirmed unflinching support for Kashmiris’ democratic right to self-determination/

Parliamentarian Ali Sahin in his keynote speech once more reiterated Turkish support for the Kashmiri people. He noted that Turkey would continue to be in strong solidarity with the oppressed people in any geography including the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir and Palestine.

He said Turkish support would continue not only on the Black Day but also until final resolution of the Jammu & Kashmir dispute.
