Peshawar: Head money on 70 most-wanted terrorists suggested

PESHAWAR: The Peshawar police have provided names of 70 most-wanted terrorists to the Khyber Pakhtonkhwa government, seeking head money on them, ARY News reported Tuesday.

The list which is available with the ARY News is divided into three categories. The chief of banned outfit Lashkar-e-Islam is on top of the list.

Five terrorists are placed in the first category with Rs 20 million head-money proposed on each of them. Two terrorists have Rs 15 million head money in category B. While Category ‘C’ has 63 militants having Rs 1 million head money proposed on each.

The list has been dispatched to the provincial home ministry and KP government.

Those nominated in the list belong to banned TTP from Mohmand, Swat and other violence-prone districts of the province.

Sources told that many of the names had been struck off the list due to ongoing peace talks with the Taliban.
