Petition at LHC seeks disqualification of Imran

LAHORE: A petition has been filed at the Lahore High Court, seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan, ARY News reported Thursday.

According to petitioner, lawyer Ilm uddin Ghazi, Imran Khan had an alleged affair with US national Sita White and Khan concealed it from Pakistani nation.

Ms White was a US national who had alleged Khan of being a father of her four-year-old daughter. She had also filed a paternity suit at US court against Khan.

The petitioner further added that Khan did not qualify for Articles 62 and 63 of the constitution, which also goes against the rules of Election Commission of Pakistan.

He requested the court to disqualify Imran Khan.
