PFMA ends strike after successful negotiations

KARACHI: Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA) has ended the week long strike on Tuesday after the successful negotiations with Sindh Secretary of Food, ARY News reported.

According to Chairman PFMA Chaudhry Yousaf, all the issues have been resolved during the talks with Secretary of Food.

He informed that all the flour mills will start the work of grinding from Thursday, which will allow the routine supply of wheat to whole sale as well retails markets.

Chaudhry Yousaf tolf ARY News that Secretary Food has permitted to bring Wheat to Karachi from all four districts without checking.

The flour mills owners were observing strike for the last few days alleging workers of Food Ministry for bribery and extortion that had caused hardships to the consumers owing to shortage of flour in the market.
