KARACHI: An Airbus aircraft of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) crashed into a cargo van at Jinnah Terminal in Karachi after landing on Saturday, ARY News reports.
The crash occurred after the PIA Airbus shortly after landing from Saudi Arabia. According to sources, the van crashed into the aircraft due to over speeding. Doors and other parts of the plane were damaged in the collision.
The aircraft was grounded for maintenance work.
On the other hand, a spokesman of PIA denied the grounding of the aircraft and the flight schedules being affected by the incident. He said that the flight was sent to Mumbai (flight no. PK-274) after maintenance.
It should be noted that two such incidents have already taken place at Benazir Bhutto International Airport in Islamabad.
