PIA completes Hajj Operation

KARACHI: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) completed its Hajj Operation on Monday, ARY News reports.

More than 67,000 pilgrims returned to Pakistan through specially scheduled flights. PIA also set a new record in departure and arrival as 95 per cent flights arrived on time.

PIA had initiated its Hajj Operation on 19th November in which more than 67,000 pilgrims arrived in different cities of Pakistan. In the Post-Hajj Operations 8190 pilgrims arrived in Karachi, 9660 at Lahore, 14533 in Islamabad, 15417 in Peshawar, 9754 in Quetta, 6008 in Multan and 3527 pilgrims arrived in Sialkot.

Chairman PIA A.Muhammad Ali Gardazi and Managing Director (MD) PIA A.Junaid Younis said that the Airlines played an important role in the aviation. He appreciated the efforts of PIA in making the operations successful.

MD PIA further stated that the nomination of PIA for an award by Saudi Arabia is an achievement for the Airlines.
