ISLAMABAD: The government has instructed the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for a specially designated aircraft for the upcoming official visit of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to Azerbaijan from 13-15th October.

For this purpose an Airbus A-320 has been designated to fly from Islamabad to Baku, and the engineering wing of the PIA has also been instructed to designate it a VIP flight.

This is likely to cause several flight disruption and immense financial loss to the faltering national airline.  The aeroplane will be present there for three days due to the presence of the Prime Minister.

The PIA will also incur hefty charges as the plane will be parked at the Baku airport for three days. The expenses of the aircraft crew will also be borne by the airline.
