He was talking to PIA Air League union officials in Islamabad on Friday. The PM said Rs 16 billion have been given to PIA as bailout package, he added.
He invited Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) employees to join hands with the government in its plan to make the organization a more responsive and profit earning entity.
Matters pertaining to the revival of PIA came under discussion during the meeting.
The Prime Minister said PIA has lot of potential to regain its past glory, but consistent efforts are needed in this regard.
