KARACHI: Saudi Aviation Authority on Saturday sent Pakistan International Airline (PIA) a show cause notice over violating international law regarding aviation maintenance, ARY News reported.

The notice was sent when ground generator of Faisalabad-Jeddah PIA flight PK-740 got out of order after reaching at Jeddah airport.

The airplane sank into darkness. Increased humidity and suffocation led the passengers to protest against PIA.

Cabin crew of PIA deplaned the passengers in light of torches.

Saudi Aviation Authority is likely to charge PIA 10, 000 Riyals from PIA. The aviation authority warned that PIA would have been responsible if any untoward incident had taken place.
