PIA shareholders' meeting turns into chaos

KARACHI: The meeting of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) share holders turned into chaos when the stock owners of the national airlines started protesting against the top management of the state institution, ARY News reports.

PIA Chairman Mohammad Ali Gardazi chaired a meeting of the PIA shareholders was held in Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Club in Karachi. The stock owners of PIA started protesting against the PIA head and top administration of the airlines.

Sources reported the shareholders strongly criticized and expressed their anger over the mismanagement in the institution during the meeting. They said that the PIA is facing losses worth of billions due to the mismanagement.

"Flights are delayed and the passengers have to wait for hours at the airport due to shortage of aircrafts", shareholders said.

They said that PIA Chairman and the top officials are responsible for the financial crises in the national airlines.
