PIA’s newly inducted Boeing 777 put into operation

KARACHI: The newly inducted Boeing 777 aircraft has been put into operation. The first flight operated by this aircraft, PK308, flew from Karachi to Islamabad on Friday evening carrying 300 passengers.

The passengers were seen off by Chief Operating Officer PIA Zia Qadir Qureshi.

The Boeing 777 aircraft has been inducted in PIA fleet on dry lease and after completion of formalities and painted in PIA livery was put into operation on Friday. This aircraft will now operate on PIA’s international routes from Saturday onwards.

Meanwhile, Chairman PIA Irfan Elahi expressed his satisfaction on the swift completion of formalities and inclusion of aircraft into operation within a short span of time.

CEO PIA Nayyar Hayyat said that with the induction of the 12th Boeing 777 aircraft in PIA fleet will further help in increasing flight frequencies and new destinations for the convenience of PIA passengers.
