KARACHI: The Sindh High Court has issued notices to Sindh Home Department and other respondents in petition against ban on pillion riding in the provincial capital, ARY News reported.
Earlier it was argued in a petition, filed by a citizen Haji Gul, that ban on pillion riding was a sheer violation of human rights and such a restriction does not significantly help reining in crime.
After preliminary hearing, the court issued notices to the respondents.
The ban was imposed by Sindh Government on January 26, citing worsening law and order situation across the province.
