Dubbed as social thriller of the year, Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Pink’ attempts to challenge rape victim blaming, dubious morals and double standards of conservative societies when it comes to sexual assault.

Apparently a courtroom drama, the trailer of the movie raises some serious questions about how our society views rape victims and even questions their morals.

As the hard-hitting trailer moves forward, questions regarding consent in sex, victim harassment and lack of legal and social support all pop-up.

Story of three Delhi-based girls who face all this and more while reporting the assault and pursuing the case, the movie stars Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Angad Bedi,Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Taring.

Hours after the trailer release, the Pink team also went live on Facebook and answered questions posted by fans on social media.

Directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, the movie will release on September 16.
