Players' morale is high following the performance in Asia Cup: Shahid Afridi
KARACHI: Four Pakistani players and three officials have arrived Karachi Airport on Sunday from Bangladesh after participating in Asia Cup, ARY News reported.
Shahid Afridi, Fawad Alam, Sharjeel Khan and Anwar Ali along with three team officials including head coach, fielding coach and batting consultant returned home.
On their arrival, fans and cricket lovers spread warm welcome to them. Most of them were dancing with joy and cheer. The airport surrounded by the slogans of Pakistan Zindabad.
While talking to media, all-rounder Shahid Afridi said the good performance in Asia Cup has raised the morale of the players although team Pakistan has ended as runner-up in the event.
“We would have been happier if Pakistan had won the Asia Cup”, he added.
The next assignment of national cricket team is ICC T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to start from March 21.
