ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Tuesday said that the all the plunderers who looted national wealth will be held accountable.

Addressing a ceremony in the federal capital, Fawad Chaudhry said that the looted money from national treasure will be brought back and criticized the former governments over embezzlement of national wealth and violating merit in appointments.

Talking about public account committee, the minister asked that how a younger brother could expose the corruption of elder brother?

He alleged PML-N and PPP of weakening institutes and added that opposition did not want a functional parliament. Fawad said that only accountability and transparency can eliminate corruption from the country.

PTI government took unprecedented measures in 100 days, Fawad said and added that their government lifted political censorship on print and digital media.

The information minister said that the government will introduce whistleblower act to transform the society into a corruption-free society. He said under the new act concerned department will be bound to provide information within 10 day.

Fawad said that they will soon public the detail of ads to print and digital media to ensure transparency.
