PM Abbasi inaugurates 1410MW Tarbela fourth extension hydropower project

TARBELA: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Saturday inaugurated 1410 MW Tarbela fourth extension hydropower project at Tarbela in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

First unit of 470 MW is being commissioned today, while as two more units each with equal power generating capacity will be online before the advent of summer this year.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony, the premier said that the government has solved the energy crisis for next 10 years and this Tarbela fourth extension hydropower project will greatly contribute to this effect.

The PM said that the project will provide low cost and environment friendly electricity to the masses, expressing hope that Pakistan will be free of load shedding in future.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said the PML-N Government has stabilized the country and put it on the path of development and prosperity.

He said the present government completed the development projects as per its manifesto.

“People elect those who deliver and the PML-N has always delivered on its promises.” said the PM.
