PM announces hospital, university campus for AJK

TOP NEWS

All the expenses for the hospital project in Haveli and Rawalakot will be borne by the government, said the PM while addressing flood-affectees in Azad Jammu and Kashmir during his visit.

He also announced for laying railway network in the AJK.

He stressed the authorities to speed up measures for constructing a hospital, for which federal government would ensure funds for the purpose.

He said government was striving hard to address problems facing the flood-hit people. The aid being provided to the affectees is not a loan, he added.

The prime minister was of the view that AJK should become a model region. He said AJK decisions should be taken on its land. Its budget should also be passed in its own territory.

He asked the authorities to carry out assessment of damages incurred in the wake of floods in the AJK. “I am making the entire nation aware that AJK is also a region to be looked after.” He vowed that the government would not left floods victims to fend for themselves.

PM Nawaz said one should indulge in constructive politics, and do away with focusing on negative politics.

At least 66 people have perished due to floods in the AJK.
