The PM said the new transport system would be named ‘Green Line’. He said the federal government would provide Rs 15 billion for the project while the remaining expense for the project will be borne by Sindh Government and Karachi Metropolitan Corporation.
He announced this during a high-level meeting the in the provincial capital of Sindh. The premier arrived in the city to review law and order situation.
More than 3,50,000 people will be able to benefit from the planned transport facility in Karachi.
He acknowledged that Karachi had several transport issues, which were needed to be resolved.

• Estimated Cost: Rs. 14 billion
