KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arriving in Karachi today to review the law and order situation in the metropolis with focus on recent bloodshed in Lyari, ARY News reported on Friday.
The prime minister will preside over a meeting of top officials to review law and order situation in Karachi.
Sharif had announced to visit the port city after bloody incidents in Lyari on Wednesday where at least 16 people most of them women and children lost their lives in bomb and gun attacks amid battle between two gangs of criminals.
Prime minister Nawaz Sharif will be briefed by Director General Sindh Rangers in a meeting over the progress of the targeted operation in Lyari.
Moreover, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has ordered surgical operations in Lyari to get rid of the locality from criminals.
The chief minister in a meeting on Thursday said that delay in action against Lyari gangsters could undermine the success of the operation in Karachi.
