PM attends Roll-Out Ceremony of JF-17 Thunder jets

KAMRA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Chief, Air Chief Marshall Tahir Rafiq Butt and the Chinese Ambassador have attended the Roll-Out Ceremony of the JF-17 Thunder aircrafts here on Wednesday. On this occasion, 50th JF-17 Thunder jet was also inducted in PAF fleet – ARY News reports.

According to details, the Roll-Out Ceremony was held at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, Kamra, where the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was invited as the chief guest of the ceremony.

Moreover, the Ambassadors of the friend states of Pakistan and the military envoys deployed here were also present at the ceremony.

On this occasion, the 50th JF-17 Thunder was handed over to the PAF.

The Prime Minister himself sat in the cockpit of the state-of-the-art fighter jet and witnessed its technicalities, while the Air Chief Tahir Rafiq Butt also briefed the PM.

JF-17 jets have been manufactured locally with the collaboration of China. Pakistan and China are jointly making the fighter jets and with today’s addition, both the states have attained the target of manufacturing 50 jets.

Both the countries at first manufactured these aircrafts in a factory located in China, while in the next phase these jets were manufactured at Pakistan Aeronautical Complex, here.
