ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif pesiding over a meeting to discuss release of non-combatant prisoners of Taliban, ARY News reported on Friday. 

The meeting would discuss the process of dialogue with Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan.

The high level meeting at the Prime Minister's office being attended by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali, Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and Director General Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Lt. General Zaheerul Islam.

Taliban have extended ceasefire with government of Pakistan till April-10 after release of their 19 prisoners. 

Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar briefed the meeting about the released prisoners. He informed the meeting that the non-combatant prisoners, which have been released were involved in minor offences, sources said. 

The government on demand of the Taliban on Thursday had released 19 prisoners.

The meeting will likely to discuss the regional situation with special focus on Afghanistan, sources added.
