PESHAWAR: The Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Engineer Shaukatullah has referred to the release of Taliban prisoners as a major advancement in the negotiations process with Taliban – ARY News reports.
Talking to media here, Governor KP, Engineer Shaukatullah said that the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is highly serious regarding the negotiations process, which he demonstrated, by issuing the orders of releasing Taliban prisoners.
He told that the Federal Government released 19 non-combatant prisoners yesterday, which is a positive step towards the success of negotiations and it will have far-reaching results.
Yesterday, some 19 Taliban prisoners were set free by the political administration of South Waziristan, upon the directives of the Prime Minister, is pursue of peace talks.
