PM envoys convince Hazara people to end protest sit-in
QUETTA: Hazara community has announced to formally end its protest sit-in at Alamdar Road here, which was continued for around 2 days after insurance by the Federal Interior Minister to take an action against miscreants – ARY News reports.
According to details, Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Information Minister, Pervez Rasheed reached the provincial capital upon the directives of the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan conveyed the message of the Prime Minister to the CM Balochistan, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch and visited the protest site Alamdar Road, where the Hazara tribesmen were staging a sit-in along with the dead bodies of their loved ones.
Both the envoys of the PM and the Chief Minister Balochistan held talks with Hazara elders and after the insurance of the Federal Interior Minister that 'we will not allow things to continue like past', Hazara tribesmen agreed to disperse in peaceful and organized manner.
Meanwhile, nationwide demonstrations with the expression of solidarity for the aggrieved Hazara community have also started dispersing after the announcement made by the families of the ones killed in Mastung incident and MWM Chief, Allama Raja Nasir Abbas.
Earlier on Tuesday, a bomb attack on a bus of pilgrims had claimed 28 lives while several others were injured, as a result of which a wave of anguish swept across the Shia fraternity nationwide.
