PM Imran pays surprise visit to shelter home in Rawalpindi

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday paid surprise visit to a Panah Gah (shelter home) in Rawalpindi and reviewed the facilities being provided to homeless people on the eve of Shab-e-Miraj-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him).

During interaction with the homeless people, the prime minister asked about the facilities being provided to them. He expressed satisfaction over the facilities provided at the shelter home.

PM Imran said that state was responsible for provision of food, shelter and guardianship of the helpless people. He said that the government would make every possible effort to facilitate the helpless people.

The prime minister also lauded the contribution of philanthropists in construction of shelter homes. He directed to build more shelter homes across the country so as to provide shelter, food and other necessities to homeless people.

Earlier, Prime Minister Imran Khan, on January 8, had made surprise visits to District Headquarter hospital and shelter home in Rawalpindi.

PM Imran Khan accompanied by Federal Health Minister Aamer Mehmood Kiani had arrived at the District Headquarter hospital in Rawalpindi and inquired about the facilities being provided to the patients.

During his visit, PM Imran Khan had met with the patients and inquired about their health and other issues. He had visited various sections of the hospital and was briefed by the hospital’s administration about the facilities.
