PM Imran vows to facilitate investors in country

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday said that his government was committed to facilitate investors and vowed to provide favorable investment climate in the country.    

Talking to a delegation of Coca Cola from Turkey, which called on him in Islamabad on Tuesday, PM Iman said that their government will help guide businessmen in taking advantage from the existing opportunities in the country by providing level playing field.

PM Imran assured the delegation of all possible support of the government in taking advantage of the investment friendly policies of the current dispensation.

Coca Cola’s existing investment of 500 million dollars in the country and future plans of 200 million dollars investment in the coming two or three years, the delegation told the PM.

It is pertinent to mention here that the investment will create new jobs, support ancillary industries and help the Government earn incremental revenue through taxes.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, on November 4, had urged Chinese businessmen to explore investment opportunities in diverse socio-economic sectors of Pakistan.

He had made this call during separate meetings with heads of major Chinese business groups in Beijing, including Chairman China Rainbow International Investment Company Li Dacan, President China Gezhouba Group Lyu Zexiang.

The prime minister had expressed satisfaction over the progress on projects under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. He had appreciated the business ventures of the Chinese companies in Pakistan particularly under the CPEC projects.
