PM Khan to address public gathering in Ghotki on March 30: sources

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan will arrive in Karachi on March 29 to meet provincial party leaders and chair key meetings, ARY News reported Monday.

According to sources, PM Khan, after reaching the city on Friday, will leave for Gwadar Port the same day. The premier will also chair the transformation committee meeting after landing in the provincial capital of Sindh. The committee will brief the prime minister about federal government projects planned for the province.

Sources further informed that PM Khan will also meet his party’s allies in Ghotki on March 30. He will also address a public gathering in Ghotki on Saturday.

Prime Minister Khan will also announce a development package for Karachi during his stay in the city, sources said. The PM will lay foundation stone of a university in Hyderabad.

It is pertinent to mention here that Prime Minister Khan had chaired a high-level meeting last week to review the progress of different development projects including Green Line Bus Rapid Transit System being completed under the federal government in Karachi.

During the meeting, PM Khan underscored the need to make joint efforts by the Centre and provincial government for timely completion of the development projects.

“We want to resolve public issues in Karachi and Sindh through [early completion] of development projects,” said PM Khan.

He added that the federal government will provide maximum assistance to the provincial authorities for resolution of issues faced by the citizens.
