PM Modi praises Salman on his Clean India efforts
Bollywood star Salman Khan who were among the few celebrities who were nominated by Indian Prime Minister in their Clean India Campaign, has been quietly doing his part to make India clean in different places. The 49-year old actor who first cleaned an entire village in Kajrat and painted it all over has taken the PM’s call wholeheartedly.
Salman after taking the campaign to Kajrat went to Hatluni with his costar of his upcoming film Kareena Kapoor and the crew of ‘Bajrangi Bhaijan’. The actor has so far cleaned three villages of the state of Maharashtra and he is looking forward to do more on this Clean India mission.
The Dabang Khan of Bollywood posted a status on his facebook page on India Republic day that said, “The Honorable Prime Minister nominated me for the Swachh Bharat campaign and I have cleaned and painted three villages in Maharashtra so far. I intend to continue with this initiative, but Swachh Bharat is not about what one of us can do. It’s about what each of us can do. So today, on Republic Day, I am taking this campaign social. I will nominate 100 followers a month for Swachh Bharat. Please start a sustainable Swachh Bharat initiative in and around your area of work or residence or both. Upload your before and after pictures or videos. Five of the best initiatives will get special mention on my Facebook page and also win a prize each. Kya bolte ho? Shuru karein? First list will be up tomorrow.”
He also shared the list of the fans he nominated in his ‘Swachh Bharat’ initiative.
Salman Khan’s efforts did go unnoticed as the Indian PM took the help of his twitter account to acknowledge and praise the star for his efforts towards his Clean India campaign.
