PM must not provoke army, masses face-off: Rehman Malik

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan People’s Party leader Rehman Malik said on Monday that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif must refrain from causing confrontation between the masses and the army, ARY News reported.

Talking to ARY News, the former interior minister said democracy would sustain even after the August 14 – the day when Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has announced a independence day march in pursuance of their demands for mid-term elections.

The PPP leader said it was wholly dependent on the prime minister to hold mid-term elections of find any other alternative.

He stressed that the PM must avoid causing a confrontation between the army and the masses.
