ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif advised Ministry of Finance on Thursday to issue Rs. 20 billion to Pakistan State Oil (PSO) on immediate basis, ARY News reported.
Taking the notice of current situation of load shedding, the Prime Minister ordered the finance ministry to release the above mention amount to PSO for buying of furnace oil.
According to Ministry of Finance, Rs. 120 billion has been allotted for the power sector subsidy during the budget of current fiscal year, which is insufficient for the current situation.
Issuing Rs.20 billion under the current circumstances is the most challenging task, said Finance Ministry sources.
