PM Nawaz calls on Afghanistan's Ambassador to Pakistan

During the meeting, PM Nawaz, expressing sorrow over the devastation in Afghanistan caused due to avalanches, said Pakistan stands with its brotherly neighboring country in this hour of need.

“Pakistan would be happy to provide any assistance that the people of Afghanistan might be in need of to meet this challenging situation”, he said.

The Ambassador thanked the government of Pakistan for providing generous support to Afghanistan in the form of relief supplies in the wake of the destruction caused by recent avalanches.

Several issues including Afghan Transit Trade and CASA 1000 power transmission came under discussion.

Expressing satisfaction over the increased security cooperation between the two countries, the Prime Minister said the visits of Army Chief have proved quite helpful in streamlining important matters. He hoped that the process of peace talks within Afghanistan would speed up and reach a successful conclusion soon.

On the occasion, Janan Mosazai said that there is a strong domestic consensus in Afghanistan on peace efforts these days. He also conveyed best regards of the President of Afghanistan to the Prime Minister.
