The PM Sharif was scheduled to attend oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected Turkish President Recep Tayyab Erdogan. President Mamnoon Hussain will now attend the swearing-in ceremony of his Turkish counterpart, instead of the prime minister.

The ceremony will take place in Ankara. The President will fly back to the country on Friday, August 29.

It may be mentioned here that the country is mired in massive protests led by Imran Khan and Dr. Tahirul Qadri in Islamabad against alleged rigging in the general elections 2013. The protesting leaders are bent on seeking resignation of PM Nawaz and demanding re-elections in the country.
