ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif chaired an important meeting earlier today, to review the internal security of the state – ARY News reports.
The meeting was attended by the Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Army Chief General Raheel Sharif, DG ISI Lieutenant General Zaheer ul Islam and other higher officials.
Sources told that the civil-military leadership pondered upon negotiations with Taliban and deadlock in the process.
On this occasion, a detailed exchange of views also took place on devising a strategy on peace talks, after a divide among different factions of Taliban.
It was further reported that affairs pertaining to Karachi Operation were also discussed during the internal security meeting.
