PM Nawaz directs authorities to provide full assistance to IDPs

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif has directed the authorities to provide full assistance to the internally displaced persons (IDPs), while the State Minister, Abdul Qadir Baloch gave a detailed briefing to PM Nawaz about the situation of IDPs – ARY News reports.

During a high-level meeting chaired by the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif, Abdul Qadir Baloch briefed that no load-shedding is being carried out in the IDP camps, while polio vaccination is also being administered to the children.

While briefing the media in Bannu, Commissioner Syed Mohsin Shah told that food items were distributed among the IDPs step by step, while more than 4 lac refugees were registered during the first 3 days after the operation Zarb-e-Azb was launched in North Waziristan. He told that these refugees were also administered polio vaccination drops.

Shah told that so far 44000 families have been registered at the IDP camps.

The Commander IDP camps, Brigadier Aftab said that told that Pakistan Army is distributing ration at 6 different centers, he advised the operation affectees to reach the IDP camp established at Bakakhel.

Moreover, the Commander IDP camps told that after the Ramadan Package, IDPs will also be given the Eid Package from the military camps.
