PM Nawaz hopeful for result-oriented talks with Taliban

LAHORE: Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif has expressed his hopes for result-oriented negotiations with Taliban and vowed that he will personally monitor the entire process. He added that similarly the Government wishes for talks with estranged Baloch people – ARY News reports.

Talking to media after meeting different columnists and journalists here, the Prime Minister said that the negotiations process between the Government and Taliban is advancing in a satisfactory manner. He added that the committee announced by Taliban includes good people and the Government values them.

PM Nawaz said that his Government believes in resolving both internal and external issues through talks.

He mentioned that Pakistan seeks bilateral peace with India and it is negotiating with Taliban for the elimination of terrorism from the state.

The Prime Minister vowed to monitor the process of negotiations along with the Interior Minister.

Speaking about Balochistan issue, PM Nawaz Sharif said that the Government wishes to hold talks with estranged Baloch brothers through the Chief Minister, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch.

Commenting on the economy of Pakistan, he stated that the signs of betterment are getting prominent and the Government is striving to resolve economic issues of the country.

The Prime Minister elaborated that the Government is working sincerely and honestly to provide all the basic facilities to people.
