PM Nawaz invites Zardari on ‘luncheon’
The PM Sharif sent an invitation to Zardari, who is also co-chairperson Pakistan People’s Party, for a luncheon at Raiwand in Lahore.
Zardari has accepted the invitation and will likely fly Lahore tomorrow (Saturday) to hold a meeting with the prime minister.
Analysts believe that mounting pressure from long marches by Imran Khan and Dr. Tahirul Qadri has prompted PM Sharif to seek advice from the ex-president who had tactfully dealt the similar protest march taken out by Dr. Qadri in Islamabad at D-Chowk during the last PPP tenure. Thousands of protesters led by Dr. Qadri demanding political reforms were successfully convinced by the then president Zardari before being dispersed peacefully.
