PM Nawaz meets Imran Khan, discusses current issues of state

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif has met the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan at his home here on Wednesday – ARY News reports.

According to details, a pleasant advancement took place earlier today on the political foreground of the country, when PM Nawaz Sharif visited Imran Khan's residence here in a vehicle which was driven by the Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan himself. Political Secretary, Asif Kirmani and Irfan Siddiqui were also accompanied the Prime Minister on this occasion.

Meanwhile, PTI leaders Makhdoom Javed Hashmi, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Jehangir Tareen and Dr Shireen Mazari were also present at the meeting along with the party chief, Imran Khan.

High profile officials from both the sides discussed the current challenges faced by the country and the ongoing negotiations process with Taliban.

A release issued by the PM House mentioned that the PTI Chairman had wished to meet the Prime Minister, at which Nawaz Sharif himself reached out to him.

This is the first meeting between the two party heads after the May 11 General Elections.
