According to sources, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif cancelled his visit to Karachi due to some official engagements. He will now visit Karachi on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Sharif will review the situation arising due to heatwave in the city, power crisis, measures to reduce power outages and the law law & order situation of Karachi.
The heatwave coincided with major power cuts resulted in over 1200 deaths in the city, leading to harsh criticism of the tackling of the crisis by the provincial government and K-electric.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was visiting Karachi to express sympathy with the bereaved families of the victims of the deadly heatwave in the metropolis.
According to sources, Nawaz Sharif is now expected to arrive in the metropolis on Wednesday.
