PM Nawaz seeks journalists' cases to be resolved at priority: Pervez Rasheed
ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister, Pervez Rasheed has claimed that the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif has advised the authorities to provide highly eligible public prosecutors for the cases pertaining to journalists. He told that the Wali Babar Case was not advancing, but the Prime Minister made it a test case – ARY News reports.
Addressing a seminar with respect to the safety of journalists, the Information Minister said that the society respects the state's institutions, yet the state has been failed in fulfilling its obligations.
He told that this should be admitted that we have gradually weakened the state's writ and now it is our duty to reform the institutions and to execute the promises made with the society.
