MITHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif arrived in Mithi today, to visit the region's famine-stricken areas of Tharparkar district, ARY News reported on Monday.
Chairman People's Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari received Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Mithi.
The prime minister, earlier, reached Mirpurkhas where he was welcomed by Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
Local administration taken stringent security measures on the arrival of the premier in the area, the markets and the hospital were closed in the area. The Prime Minister had taken notice of the problems faced by people due to security measures taken before his visit. But his instructions could not be complied by the officials.
PM Sharif is accompanied by Federal Minister for Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid.
Sharif in a statement issued to the media had said that hospitals must remain open for patients and they should have access to all locations.
