PM Nawaz summons NSC meeting to discuss security affairs

ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif has summoned a meeting of the National Security Committee (NSC) tomorrow, for which Chiefs of all the three armed forces have also been invited – ARY News reports.

The Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Rashad Mehmood and the Director General (DG) of Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), Lieutenant General Zaheer ul Islam will also attend the meeting.

Moreover, the Federal Minister of Defence, Khwaja Asif, Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and Advisors to the PM will also be present at the meeting.

Sources told that the meeting will discuss issues pertaining to the national security including the situation of peace talks and the recent announcement by Taliban not to increase the ceasefire any further.
