PM Nawaz summons party leaders meeting for consultation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday summoned a meeting of his ruling party to consult over the unfolding political crisis, ARY News reported.

Increasingly vulnerable Prime Minister of Pakistan facing protest sit-ins led by Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) and Dr. Tahirul Qadri’s Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).

The government’s talks with Tahirul Qadri failed to resolve the issues and the PAT leader has announced a ‘day of revolution’ today.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the key meeting of the PML-N leadership will  consult over the unfolding crisis situation and likely to take some important decisions.

Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday directed Chief Minister of Punjab Shahbaz Sharif for his immediate return to Islamabad.

The top party leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz have also been directed to reach Islamabad forthwith.
