PM Nawaz to address public meeting in Thatta
THATTA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will arrive in Thatta on Thursday (today) to address a public meeting at Makli, ARY News reported.
All preparations have been completed for the Prime Minister’s public meeting at Makli Cricket Stadium. A stage with 47 feet length and 46 ft. width has been prepared in Makli ground with around 25,000 chairs, Radio Pakistan said.
Sharif is expected to announce a special package for development projects in Thatta and Sajawal districts during his address.
Around 1000 policemen will be deployed for security of the public meeting, according to SSP Thatta.
The Prime Minister will reach Karachi airport at 12:30pm and then travel to Thatta onboard a helicopter to address the public meeting being arranged by Shirazis of Thatta, media reports said.
Nawaz will return to Karachi after attending the public meeting and leave for Islamabad in the evening.
The public meeting is the part of the election strategy of ruling Muslim League-Nawaz in Sindh, as election year nears, sources close to the party said.
