According to details, the security of the city has been heightened keeping in view of PM Nawaz’s arrival to Multan that caused traffic jam and other issues in the historic city.
It should be noted that new terminal of Multan International Airport, which has been completed at a cost of Rs. 9 billion, will also be inaugurated today.
This has caused inconvenience to the Umrah pilgrims and forced them to walk by miles keeping their luggage in hands.
According to details, the new terminal of Multan International Airport has been expanded so that wide-bodied aircrafts could land and take off for direct international passenger and cargo flights. International cargo flights from Multan will boost the exports of fruits, particularly mango.
A cargo complex has also been built having storage capacity of 10,000 tons and preservation of perishable vegetables and fruits.
