A spokesman of the prime minister house has said that the prime minister’s aircraft has landed at Moscow for fuel. After brief stopover the aircraft will leave for London.

Earlier, Sharif left for London from Lahore’s Allama Iqbal Airport for a ‘personal and medical visit’.

Before departing for London, the PM held a meetings with Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his other senior aides to discuss the implications of the Panama Papers scandal.

The prime minister and his family have been under serious allegations of money laundering and tax evasion. Although the PM has ordered to establish a judicial commission for the investigation of the matter, but the uproar is increasing with passing days.

PM’s announcement to spend a week in London has raised many eyebrows. Analysts believe the absence of Nawaz Sharif from the political scene is not making the situation better for the ruling PML-N.

A spokesman of the Prime Minister earlier said that “It’s just a personal visit and Nawaz Sharif will not hold political meetings during his stay in London.”

“He will spend one week in London and would also visit his doctors for medical treatment,” spokesman Asif Kirmani said.
