AMSTERDAM: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reached The Hague to attend the third Nuclear Security Summit (NSS), ARY News reported.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister leading a delegation also included Special Assistant to the PM Syed Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry.
The nuclear summit will be attended by the representatives of 53 countries, European Union, United Nations, International Atomic Energy Agency and Interpol.
Nawaz Sharif is expected to address the summit today, and will be a keynote speaker at a meeting on the future of the NSS process on March 25 (tomorrow).
Sharif is expected to describe the measures implemented by Pakistan to ensure safety and security of its nuclear facilities and materials at these meetings.
Pakistan's prime minister is also expected to seek non-discriminatory access to nuclear technology for peaceful uses, including nuclear power generation.
Prime Minister Sharif will likely to hold bilateral meeting with some world leaders on the sidelines of the Nuclear Summit.
